Binance Opens Trading Access for AI Agents: Now Capable of Spot and Futures Trading
Binance has launched the Agent OS and MCP Server platforms, enabling Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools to perform spot and futures trading on the exchange.
Binance has connected AI applications to its own trading and liquidity tools via a new infrastructure operating with user permissions. According to the company’s announcement, Binance MCP Server has been launched alongside Binance Agent OS. Consequently, tools utilize a common standard to communicate with the exchange, eliminating the need for users to manage API keys locally. Once authorization is complete, the system can access market data and perform spot trades, fund transfers, and futures trading.

The tools granted access include Claude, Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT, and VS Code. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) used by Binance allows different applications to connect to the exchange’s tools via an open standard. The platform is based on AI agents utilizing Binance’s capabilities within user-defined permission frameworks.

Security boundaries have also been clearly defined in the new system. Withdrawals to external addresses cannot be made via the MCP Server. All interactions must be conducted through an isolated sub-account, created specifically for these transactions and separate from the main account. Binance stated that this structure is designed to protect user funds.
In this context, AI tools can analyze market data, perform spot and futures trades, and manage fund transfers within the account. However, since permissions are limited to the sub-account separate from the main account, funds cannot be sent to external wallets via the system.
