In the transaction shared by the on-chain analytics platform, a wallet linked to the attacker swapped 908,793 PROM tokens through Uniswap V2. The sale yielded only 0.0316 ETH; Lookonchain said that amount was worth approximately $71 at the time of its post.

The platform described the amount received for tokens valued at approximately $5 million as a costly mistake by the attacker while selling altcoins, and shared the transaction record on Etherscan.

Why did tokens worth millions of dollars bring in just $71?

The key detail in the transaction was that the Uniswap V2 pool used for the sale was almost empty. In pools like this, the amount a trader can receive depends not only on a token’s estimated market value, but also on how much of the other asset is available on the other side of the swap. Selling a large amount of tokens into a pool with very little liquidity can sharply drive down the transaction price.

That is why the gap between the approximately $5 million valuation and the $71 received by the wallet reflects the conditions of this particular swap; it does not mean that PROM’s price fell by the same amount across all markets.

Bithumb stated that the reasons for the trading warning for Blur (BLUR) had not been resolved by the explanations provided by the foundation, and that the asset did not meet the support criteria after changes to its business plan and its purpose and function were also assessed. According to the on-chain analytics platform’s post, a wallet linked to the attacker is selling some altcoins, including PEPE, UNI, and LINK, for ETH on-chain. This has shifted attention from tracking assets withdrawn from Binance to the sales that began following the transfers.

The post did not specify how many tokens had been sold. However, a breakdown of the assets remaining in the wallet shows which altcoins could come under pressure if sales continue.

Which altcoins remain in the wallet?

At the values listed when the post was published, the 12 tokens total approximately $180,32 million. The three largest balances are ENA, PEPE, and LINK:

• PEPE: 7,579 trillion tokens, worth approximately $34,41 million.
• LINK: 2,575 million tokens, worth approximately $28,07 million.

Why does it matter if the sales continue?

Lookonchain’s warning is based on the possibility that these balances in the wallet could also be sold. While sales of PEPE, UNI, and LINK have been reported, no information was shared indicating that all the assets on the list had been sold. Therefore, the $180 million figure represents the value of the balances remaining in the tracked wallet, not completed sales volume.

We covered the initial price reaction in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB following reports of the attack in our previous article. The latest development is that the wallet linked to the attacker has begun selling altcoins directly, potentially adding further selling pressure from the tokens still in its holdings.

On-chain analytics platform Glassnode reported that the favorable picture in sales by those who bought altcoins at the end of September quickly reversed. Investors who bought recently were selling most of their tokens at a profit at the time. The jump in profitable sales was the strongest increase seen since December 2024.

About a month later, the balance shifted back toward selling at a loss among the same group of investors. As a result, the opportunity to realize gains at the end of September did not last for most sellers.

Altcoin investors’ fortunes shifted while Bitcoin stayed flat

What stands out is that this reversal happened without a notable move in Bitcoin. While Bitcoin changed little over the same period, most investors who had recently bought altcoins began selling again below their purchase price.

This contrast shows that the losses suffered by altcoin investors could be overlooked by looking only at Bitcoin’s performance. In the group where profitable exits prevailed a month ago, those accepting losses and selling are now in the majority.

The sharp decline in AXIS’s price came about a week after the token was listed on Binance, Coinbase, and Upbit. Findings by ZachXBT, reported by Wu Blockchain, suggest that the suspicious sales involved tokens withdrawn from the team wallet.

People believed to be team insiders reportedly withdrew more than 76 million AXIS from the team’s multisig wallet. The tokens were valued at more than $12 million, and funds from tokens sold on decentralized exchanges were reportedly deposited into Bitget.

ZachXBT Linked the Sale of 42 Million AXIS to the Drop

According to ZachXBT, a person believed to be a team insider sold approximately 42 million AXIS from the team multisig, receiving approximately 5.04 million USDC in return. The researcher linked the sale to the 40% price drop that occurred about a week after the listings.

Binance will open spot trading for the PREDICT/USDT, PREDICT/USDC, and PREDICT/TRY pairs at 1:00 p.m. TRT on October 30. PREDICT deposits will open one hour earlier, at 12:00 p.m. TRT on October 30; withdrawals are expected to open at 1:00 p.m. TRT on October 31. The listing fee will be 0 BNB.
