Recent data shared by Santiment shows that development activity in the cryptocurrency world shows no signs of slowing down, with MetaMask USD and Ethereum taking the top spots on the list.

The long-term success of a project in the cryptocurrency ecosystem is often directly proportional to how much effort software developers put into that project. Popular analysis platform Santiment analyzed Github data from the last 30 days to rank the projects with the highest development activity. This data provides important clues for investors regarding the technical health and potential future updates of the projects.

At the very top of the list is MetaMask USD (mUSD) with a massive development score of 556.77 points. It is followed by Ethereum (ETH), the industry’s leading smart contract platform, with 313.17 points. While both projects form the cornerstones of the ecosystem, it is evident that developers are putting in intense hours on these networks. In third place is Hedera (HBAR) with 121.97 points, maintaining its strong presence in enterprise-focused blockchain solutions.

Most Developed Cryptocurrencies and Rising Stars

Further down the list, projects like Chainlink (LINK) and Internet Computer (ICP) stand out for climbing the rankings. Specifically, Chainlink solidifies its leadership among data providers with a score of 115.5 points, while Polkadot (DOT) and Kusama (KSM) share the same rank with 85.4 points. The increase in development activity for these projects indicates a continuous effort to make the networks more secure and functional.

Next-generation projects Starknet (STRK) and Aptos (APT) also managed to break into the top 10 list. In the Metaverse space, Decentraland (MANA) continues to maintain developer interest with 55.83 points. The analyzed data reveals that projects are focusing on strengthening their technical infrastructure regardless of their market value, which builds long-term confidence.
