Information in the cryptocurrency field can change rapidly. Correcting a material error in a news story and adding a new development that occurs after the story is published are different processes. Koin Bülteni’s approach to corrections is based on providing accurate information while ensuring the reader understands what has changed.

How to report an error

You can send the relevant content link and the section you believe to be incorrect through the channels on the Contact page. Include official documents, statements, or data links that point to the correct information. Specifying a concrete point such as a date, amount, name, or claim—rather than simply stating “this news is wrong”—facilitates the review process.

For example, writing a transaction amount in dollars instead of BTC might be a material error. Disagreeing with a price prediction, however, is not the same type of error on its own. Confusing a source’s prediction with a realized event, misattributing the source of a prediction, or presenting it as definitive information are cases that require separate investigation.

Material corrections

In cases of verifiable errors such as the name of a person or institution, dates, amounts, rates, and the fundamental meaning of an event, the text is corrected once the accurate information is confirmed. For corrections that alter the meaning or conclusion of a story, an explanatory note is used so the reader can recognize the change. Correcting a mere punctuation mark does not carry the same weight as changing the outcome of an event.

If a source withdraws or changes its own statement, this development is reported without erasing the context that the initial statement was made at that time. If a claim correctly reported in an older story later turns out to be false, the claim and the subsequent verification must be shown separately. An update note makes this chronological order clear.

Date and version information

The original publication date shows the period and conditions under which the story was prepared. The substantial update date indicates a significant change made later. Refreshing the date solely to make content appear new is not considered an information update. Changes to network rules and terms of service in guides are handled with the same care.

Automated price fields may change with market data; this change does not mean the article is rewritten every time. Instances where the price is missing or outdated are noted in the relevant field. If there is an error in mathematical examples, both the assumptions used and the calculation results are cross-checked.

Protect your personal information in notifications

To report an error, you should never send wallet recovery words, private keys, account passwords, or full identity documents. A public transaction link and the relevant source are sufficient in most cases. Explain which content the issue relates to without sharing unnecessary personal information. For the general publishing approach, you can review the Editorial Principles page.
