Former New York Governor Joins OKX Board: Trillion-Dollar Plan Set in Motion

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has joined the board of directors of cryptocurrency exchange OKX, taking a strategic step to strengthen the link between traditional finance and digital assets.

A game-changing development has occurred in the cryptocurrency sector as OKX added former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to its team in line with its growth targets in the US market. Cuomo, who has joined the exchange’s board of directors, will also play a key role in the major partnership established with ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). This collaboration is seen as one of the most concrete examples of how cryptocurrency platforms can integrate with traditional financial systems.

24/7 Tokenized Stock Trading Era Begins

Making important statements on Fox Business, Cuomo stated that he will serve as co-chairman of the new 50/50 joint venture between OKX and ICE. Defining cryptocurrency as the financial infrastructure of the future, Cuomo championed the vision of 24/7 tokenized stock trading. The former governor emphasized that through tokenization technology, investors will gain the opportunity for fractional ownership—owning digital portions of an asset—noting that this will allow transactions to be completed instantly and could funnel trillions of dollars into the US economy from international markets.

Seeking to intensify its competition with Coinbase in the US market, OKX aims to benefit from Cuomo’s political experience in regulatory processes. With industry players like Robinhood and Backpack also turning toward tokenized assets, this new partnership could play a pioneering role in the transformation of traditional exchanges. Cuomo’s support for blockchain technology paves the way for digital assets to gain broader acceptance in the mainstream financial world.
