Ethereum Selling Pressure Hits Historic Low: Only One Element Missing for a Price Breakout
The decline in the volume of assets sent by Ethereum miners to exchanges to historic lows indicates that selling pressure in the market has eased, but strong institutional demand is still expected for the price to rise.
According to CryptoQuant data, transfers by Ethereum miners to the Binance exchange have dropped to their lowest levels in the last year. This situation shows that the selling pressure exerted by miners on the market has significantly weakened and that downward risks on ETH have diminished. This drop in the amount of assets miners send to exchanges is considered one of the most concrete signs that the supply available for sale in the market is tightening.
Looking at the data in the chart, although there was a short-term increase in transfer volumes in June, this activity returned to floor levels by the end of July. Using Binance, the world’s largest spot and futures platform, as a reference ensures that this data is a reliable indicator for the broader market. Miners moving fewer assets to exchanges allows existing liquidity to be more easily absorbed by buyers, alleviating pressure on the price.
Institutional Demand Expectations for Ethereum Price
While this contraction on the supply side is a supportive factor for the price, it is not considered sufficient on its own to initiate a major uptrend. The Ethereum price currently continues to trade sideways due to weak demand. Although the supply reduction creates a safety net, a new and strong capital inflow into the market is essential for the price to break out of this narrow range.
Experts state that during this period when miner sales are at historical lows, a significant institutional buying wave could be the main catalyst for the next rally. Therefore, while the market currently views the decrease in supply as a positive signal, it has turned its eyes toward the steps large institutional investors will take. As open interest data and exchange inflows are monitored, a revival in demand could start a new journey toward a peak for ETH.
