Polymarket Pushes Valuation to $20 Billion: Massive $1 Billion Investment on the Table
Prediction market platform Polymarket has begun talks with potential investors to raise $1 billion in new investment, targeting a valuation of over $20 billion.
One of the crypto world’s most popular prediction platforms, Polymarket, is preparing for a massive funding round as part of its growth strategies. According to information shared by Bloomberg, the company has started preliminary talks with potential investors for a $1 billion capital increase. This move indicates that the platform aims to more than double its market value in a very short period.
This new investment round is considered a continuation of the financial successes the company has achieved in recent periods. In April, Polymarket secured approximately $1 billion in funding at a $15 billion valuation, with the participation of major names such as D.E. Shaw and G Squared. The fact that the company’s annual revenue has surpassed the $1.2 billion threshold and that it is increasing its operations in the U.S. market keeps investor interest in the project alive.
Expectation of Record Increase in Polymarket Valuation
If this planned massive investment round is successfully completed, Polymarket’s market value will skyrocket from its October 2025 level of $9 billion to over $20 billion. This will allow the platform to become one of the most valuable crypto-focused startups on a global scale. Competition in the industry is heating up every day; one of the platform’s biggest rivals, Kalshi, drew attention by reaching a $22 billion valuation in its May investment round.
While data shows that Kalshi’s July trading volume was approximately three times that of Polymarket, Polymarket’s user base and market share continue to expand rapidly. While company officials are refraining from making an official statement yet, crypto-based prediction markets are expected to play a much more dominant role in the financial world in the future. These markets, particularly built around events like elections and sports competitions, allow users to earn profits through accurate predictions.
