Massive 515,000 BTC Accumulation: Whales and Retail Investors Meet at This Key Level

According to Glassnode data, while the Bitcoin price forms a massive cost basis at the $63,000 level, both retail investors and whales view this area as a strategic accumulation zone.

While the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) has been moving within a narrow range between $60,000 and $67,000 in recent weeks, the $63,000 level has become a critical battleground for market participants. On-chain data shared by Glassnode proves that this area is not just a technical resistance but also a massive cost center where investors have concentrated.

According to Glassnode’s URPD (Unspent Realized Price Distribution) data, approximately 515,000 BTC, representing more than 3% of the total Bitcoin supply, changed hands at the $63,000 level. This concentration stands out as the second-largest supply cluster after the peak range of $78,000-$82,000 in May. Furthermore, there is a significant accumulation of approximately 362,000 BTC around the $61,000 mark.

Bitcoin Price and the 200-Week Moving Average Intersection

From a technical perspective, Bitcoin is trading at nearly the same level as the 200-week moving average, one of the most significant indicators of long-term trends. The $63,657 level indicated by the indicator is in full alignment with Bitcoin’s current price of around $63,822. This provides a strong signal that the market accepts this region as a “cost basis.”

Glassnode’s 30-day Accumulation Trend Score reveals that buying is not limited to a specific group. Data shows that small-scale retail investors are the most aggressive buyers, while confirming that whales holding at least 1,000 BTC in their wallets are exhibiting a similarly strong appetite for accumulation. The fact that all investor groups meet on common ground at these levels demonstrates how strategic a foundation $63,000 forms for the market.
