New Listing from South Korean Giant: This Altcoin Surges 17% Following the Announcement!

Bithumb, one of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced the listing of a new altcoin.

According to the statement made by Bithumb, deposit and withdrawal transactions for Unibase (UB) will begin within 2 hours of the announcement. The notification issued by the exchange stated that the asset could be deposited via the BNB Smart Chain network. Bithumb also warned investors, emphasizing that transfers outside of this network are not supported.

Unibase (UB) will be opened for trading in the South Korean Won (KRW) pair. Investors will be able to trade the UB/KRW pair after the listing process is complete. Trading will commence as of August 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

In order to ensure a secure trading environment, the exchange will apply various restrictions to trading transactions during the first few minutes after listing. Accordingly, buy orders cannot be placed for the first 5 minutes after trading starts. During the same period, sell orders will not be allowed at prices more than 10% below or 100% above the base price. Additionally, for approximately 2 hours after trading begins, only limit order types will be available.

According to CoinGecko data, UB gained momentum following the Bithumb announcement and is trading at $0.147459 with a 17.46% increase at the time of writing.
