Tether’s Major Move on Tron Network: Supply Hits Record High with $1 Billion New Minting
Tether (USDT) has minted an additional $1 billion on the Tron network, bringing its total supply on this chain to over $91 billion.
Tether (USDT), the cryptocurrency market’s largest stablecoin, continues its liquidity operations at full speed. According to the latest data shared by blockchain data analysis platform Lookonchain, the company executed a massive minting operation on the Tron network. With this latest move, the USDT presence in the Tron ecosystem has reached a new record high, reinforcing its market dominance.
On-chain investigations revealed that 1 billion USDT tokens were transferred directly from Tether’s multi-sig wallet to the treasury wallet. This transaction is considered part of periodic inventory replenishment efforts aimed at meeting market demand and supporting liquidity on exchanges. The low transaction fees offered by the Tron network stand out as one of the primary motivations behind these massive transfers and supply increases.
USDT Supply Hits Record High on Tron Network
According to current data, the total USDT supply on the Tron network has reached exactly 91,275,824,483. The total market capitalization on the network has surpassed $91.2 billion. The speed and accessibility of the Tron network play a major role in users choosing this network. In fact, the total number of wallet holders on the network has risen to 75,472,986, while the total number of transfers executed to date has exceeded 3.5 billion.
Tether’s move demonstrates that trading volume in the cryptocurrency markets and interest in stablecoins remain vibrant. In particular, yesterday’s $33.36 billion trading volume serves as proof of Tron-based USDT’s dominance in the ecosystem. The company continues to maintain global liquidity balance by performing similar minting operations on different networks based on market conditions and incoming demand.
