BTC Purchases at Strategy Approximately 25 Times Higher Than Sales: CEO Promises Resumed Buying This Year
Strategy CEO Phong Le stated that despite recent sales, the company will return to Bitcoin accumulation later this year and that purchases will continue.
According to a statement reported by FOX Business, Strategy CEO Phong Le shared the company’s plan regarding its Bitcoin strategy. Le noted that while the recent sale of some assets raised questions in the market, these transactions do not mean the company has abandoned its accumulation plan. The CEO said Strategy would buy Bitcoin again later in the year.
According to the figures provided by Le, Strategy has purchased approximately 175,000 Bitcoin since the beginning of the year. During the same period, the company sold about 7,000 BTC, making its purchase volume approximately 25 times its sales. These figures showed that the recent sales remained limited compared to the company’s total Bitcoin purchasing activity.
Strategy Will Resume Bitcoin Purchases
Reporting that the proceeds from the sales were used to support preferred stock dividends, share buybacks, and U.S. dollar reserves, Le stated that the transactions were linked to the company’s financing needs.
The Strategy CEO said the company will start accumulating Bitcoin again this year and will make purchases during the remainder of the year. No exact date or amount was shared for the new purchases in the statement.
The statement sourced from FOX Business responded to the questions arising after the recent sales by stating that the company is continuing its Bitcoin accumulation plan.
