Altcoin Up 27% Saw Activity Begin 8 Days Before Announcement
Santiment found that notable activity in Quant (QNT) token addresses began eight days before the announcement day, when QNT rose 27%.
According to data from the on-chain analytics platform, the number of active QNT addresses began rising on September 16. The announcement that The Clearing House had selected Quant to provide infrastructure for its tokenized deposit network came on September 24. Notably, the initial rise in address activity was not accompanied by a price increase.
Address Activity Picked Up, While the Price Stayed Flat in the Early Days
Between September 16 and 23, the number of daily active addresses exceeded 870 each day. By contrast, no day between September 1 and 15 saw the figure rise above 792. The number of new addresses during September 16–23 was also about 1.8 times the weekday average for the first 15 days of the month.
QNT was priced at $61.17 on September 15 and $61.05 on September 17. In other words, the price remained largely flat during the first few days of the surge in address activity.

Both Price and Activity Surged on Announcement Day
According to Santiment, QNT rose 27% on September 24, the day The Clearing House announcement was made. Daily active addresses also reached 2,064, their highest level since November 15, 2025.
However, it is not yet known what caused activity to pick up on September 16. On the same day, Binance announced that it would delist the QNT/USDC trading pair. Santiment noted this development but did not say it was the cause of the increase in addresses.
The platform also emphasized that banks’ use of Quant infrastructure would not be reflected in these token metrics. Therefore, the data do not prove that the announcement was known in advance or that banks were transacting in the token; they show only the timing of address activity that began before the price surge.
