Robinhood Wallet Adds Stock Token Trading—and Points for Eligible Trades
Robinhood Wallet is adding a new trading option for eligible users by integrating Arcus’s trading infrastructure, which supports more than 190 stock tokens, and offering points on trades that meet the requirements.
According to a statement Arcus shared with The Block, the new integration adds another trading provider that Robinhood Wallet can use for stock token swaps. Eligible users in supported regions will be able to access Arcus’s liquidity and trading infrastructure through the wallet.
Arcus will not be the sole provider handling all of the wallet’s transactions; it will operate as one of the options to which swaps can be routed. Users whose trades are executed through Arcus can earn Arcus Points if they meet the requirements.
Market Makers Will Compete on Prices for Stock Tokens
Instead of relying on a single liquidity pool, Arcus’s system collects quotes for each swap from professional market makers. This allows market makers to compete with their quotes to execute users’ trades.
In addition to the integration, Robinhood Wallet users will also be able to place limit orders through the wallet’s decentralized app browser. This feature lets investors set in advance the price limits they are willing to accept when buying or selling.
Arcus Now Supports More Than 190 Stock Tokens
Developed by the team behind dYdX, Arcus launched on Robinhood Chain in July with more than 90 stock tokens. The number of stock tokens supported by the platform has since surpassed 190, while its perpetual futures markets remain in beta.
According to figures released by the company, Arcus has recorded more than $5 billion in total trading volume and attracted over 15,000 unique traders since launch. The total value of assets locked on the platform has also exceeded $28 million.
