Binance France will close customer accounts on December 31, 2026, after failing to obtain authorization under MiCA; accounts holding assets will be charged a monthly fee starting November 29.
According to a report by Cryptoast citing an email to a Binance customer, the decision applies to accounts with Binance France. Customers with assets in their accounts will be charged a monthly management fee of 0.025 percent, with a minimum fee of 10 USDC.
Deposits of new funds into customers’ accounts had already been suspended.
Crypto assets not withdrawn by the closure date may be converted, transferred elsewhere, or otherwise handled in accordance with the Terms of Service. The decision is limited to accounts with Binance France; it does not mean that Binance’s global platform or all user accounts in France will be closed.
