U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $1.28 billion in net outflows last week, turning the funds’ net flows for 2026 negative.
According to The Block’s analysis of SoSoValue data, this was the worst week for Bitcoin ETFs since late June. The funds also ranked seventh among the largest weekly outflows recorded since they began trading in January 2024.
Bitcoin ETFs started the week with $368 million in net inflows. However, outflows on Monday pushed year-to-date flows into negative territory, and by Friday, the funds had reached $914.1 million in net outflows for 2026.
Wednesday was the only positive day for Bitcoin ETFs
The funds saw outflows of $398.6 million on Monday, $115.6 million on Tuesday, $430.2 million on Thursday, and $411.9 million on Friday. The $74.6 million in inflows recorded on Wednesday was the week’s only positive daily flow. The funds’ total net assets fell 2.3% over the week to $95.9 billion.
The outflows coincided with a decline in cryptocurrency and stock prices following the U.S. midterm elections. Bitcoin fell 5.6% on Thursday. Analyst comments cited by The Block linked the drop to the Democrats’ success in Congress and concerns about spending on artificial intelligence.
Outflow streaks also lengthen for Ether, Solana, and Hyperliquid funds
Spot Ether ETFs recorded $365.3 million in net outflows last week, extending their outflow streak to six weeks. The total amount withdrawn from the funds since late September reached approximately $2.02 billion. Ether funds’ net flows for 2026 are also about $405.6 million in the red.
Spot Solana ETFs saw $26.3 million in weekly outflows. The funds have posted net outflows for five consecutive weeks, their longest streak since launching in October 2025. The three Hyperliquid ETFs also lost $15.6 million last week, extending their outflow streak to five weeks. During this period, a total of $165.4 million flowed out of Solana funds and $58.4 million out of Hyperliquid funds.
