FTX Founder SBF’s Prison Exit Plan: People Will Flock to My New Cryptocurrency
FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried revealed that his post-prison plans include launching a new cryptocurrency and expressed his belief that investors will flock to this project.
As one of the most controversial figures in the cryptocurrency world, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) shared striking plans for the future while serving his 25-year prison sentence. New details published by New York Magazine shed light on SBF’s life behind bars and what he aims to do once he regains his freedom.
Currently 34 years old, SBF is continuing his daily medication for clinical depression and ADHD while writing a memoir titled “Manfred.” In conversations with his cellmate David Bunevacz, the former CEO stated that he needs between $50 million and $100 million in capital to start a real business, but he dropped the biggest bombshell with his new project.
SBF’s New Cryptocurrency Plan
SBF claims that after being released from prison, he will launch his own cryptocurrency and that everyone will gravitate toward this new asset. Similar to a bird in the room trying to escape during the interview, SBF appears to be searching for ways to return to the financial world. While Bunevacz noted that SBF might have said these words jokingly, the crypto community’s reaction is already a matter of curiosity.
Pardon Request from Trump and Polymarket Data
Taking new steps in the legal process, SBF submitted a formal presidential pardon application to the Trump administration on June 8. Following this development, the probability of a pardon on the prediction platform Polymarket doubled, reaching 14 percent. Investors are closely monitoring the potential market impact of a possible early release for SBF.
