First a Giant Bank, Now a Renowned Name: He Sold Everything and Longed This Altcoin
Garrett Jin, one of the well-known figures in the cryptocurrency world, has shifted his focus toward massive positions in the Bitcoin and altcoin markets following a million-dollar profit from his Hyperliquid (HYPE) sales.
According to information shared by Lookonchain, which tracks on-chain data, Garrett Jin has made a strategic shift in his portfolio. Jin sold all of his Hyperliquid (HYPE) holdings, earning a profit of approximately $2.83 million from the transaction. The investor offloaded a total of 184,102 HYPE tokens at an average price of $73.6, directing the $13.55 million in liquidity generated from the sale toward new opportunities.
Garrett Jin’s New Investment Strategy and Massive Positions
Immediately following the sale, Jin drew attention by opening a long position—an operation anticipating a price increase—on the decentralized exchange giant Uniswap (UNI). According to transaction data, the investor placed a buy order for 80,000 UNI worth approximately $271,000, maintaining his bullish expectations for the market. Looking at Jin’s current portfolio, it is not just UNI that stands out, but also massive positions in Bitcoin (BTC) and Zcash (ZEC).
According to the updated data shared, Jin holds open positions for 1,268 Bitcoins worth $83.39 million and 50,013 Zcash worth $25.2 million. Although he currently appears to be down by approximately $13.14 million on his Bitcoin position with an entry level of $76,117, his $3.23 million profit on the ZEC side helps balance the situation. The investor’s transition to UNI, especially after the HYPE sale, is being interpreted as a signal that the momentum in the altcoin market may continue.
