Critical Decision for Zilliqa (ZIL) from South Korean Giant Exchange: Added to Investment Warning List!

Bithumb, one of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has released an important announcement regarding the popular altcoin project Zilliqa (ZIL).

According to the statement made by Bithumb on July 22, 2026, Zilliqa (ZIL) has been included in the exchange’s “investment warning” list. In the notification issued by the exchange, a security breach (hacking) incident detected in the ZIL network, its wallets, or its distributed ledger structure—which has not yet been resolved—was cited as the reason for the decision.

As part of the announcement, deposits and withdrawals for Zilliqa (ZIL) have been temporarily suspended. The exchange stated that it will closely monitor the project’s status following this decision made to protect investors. The statement noted that the final assessment regarding the extension or removal of the investment warning decision, or the complete delisting of the asset, will be shared in the third week of August (between August 18-21, 2026).

Reminding that transactions will remain restricted until the security issues on the network are resolved, Bithumb emphasized that investors should follow up-to-date announcements. The exchange added that it will continue to communicate with projects and external experts to ensure investors can trade in a secure environment.
