Tom Lee: ETH/BTC Ratio at 3-Month Peak Signals Strengthening Crypto Market

As Bitmine continues its Ethereum accumulation without slowing down, Tom Lee emphasized that the rising ETH/BTC ratio is a new signal of strength in the crypto market.

Holding the world’s largest institutional Ethereum treasury, Bitmine (BMNR) consolidated its market presence with a massive purchase last week. The company purchased an additional 9,946 ETH worth approximately $19.4 million, bringing its total reserves to 5,787,414 ETH. This massive accumulation, reaching $11.2 billion based on current market value, equates to approximately 4.8 percent of Ethereum’s total supply. The company’s steady acquisition strategy shows it is one step closer to its long-term goal of 5 percent supply ownership.

Ethereum and Bitcoin Ratio Guides the Market

The company’s Chairman of the Board, Tom Lee, stated that Ethereum’s performance against Bitcoin (BTC) is a critical indicator reflecting investor appetite. Lee pointed out that the ETH/BTC ratio reached its highest level in three months, hitting the 0.3000 level. Despite uncertainties regarding the CLARITY Act expected to be passed in 2026, the continued rise in this ratio is interpreted as a sign that the market has entered a general recovery phase.

Gaining 24 percent in value over the past month, Ethereum outperformed Bitcoin’s 8 percent increase and reached a 10-week high. According to technical analysis data, critical resistance points for the price lie at the $2,000 and $2,500 levels. These steady institutional purchases and the strengthening ratio indicate that market sentiment has turned positive for Ethereum investors and that the leading altcoin is beginning to dominate the market.
