A First for the Ethereum Network Since March: Daily Active Address Count Reaches 989,500

The number of daily active addresses on the Ethereum (ETH) network has reached a five-month high, surging to 989,500.

As the second-largest asset in the cryptocurrency market, Ethereum (ETH) is experiencing an unexpected explosion in network activity. According to data shared by Santiment, the daily active address count on the network reached 989,500 within the last 24 hours, marking the highest level seen since March. Despite the price hovering sideways around $1,875, this sudden spike in wallet usage indicates a resurgence of interest from both investors and institutions.

Demand for spot Ethereum ETFs stands out as one of the primary reasons behind this activity. In addition to improving ETF inflows, the settlement of Robinhood Chain transactions on the Ethereum network has been a significant factor increasing transaction volume and network traffic. Furthermore, growing interest in stablecoins, real-world assets (RWA), and tokenized assets is repositioning Ethereum as the primary settlement layer once again.

Reasons for the Surge in Activity on the Ethereum Network

According to analytical data, the reawakening of existing wallets and the shift of capital into different areas are supporting this rise. Progress recorded regarding market structure in the United States, in particular, is causing institutional investors to focus on regulated on-chain finance instruments. Low transaction fees on the network and improved layer-2 (L2) capacity are helping demand remain high by making it easier for users to transact.

The sharp rise seen in the charts proves that network growth is also gaining momentum. Ethereum’s continued provision of critical infrastructure for dollar liquidity signals that the network is maintaining its long-term strength. If this level of usage is sustained, ETH demand is expected to have positive effects on the price as well.
