Mining Giant That Sold $75 Million in Bitcoin Makes Radical Decision: Shifts Focus Here
Keel Infrastructure has decided to halt all Bitcoin mining activities in the United States and convert its facilities into artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing data centers.
A massive strategic shift is occurring in the world of cryptocurrency mining. Keel Infrastructure, one of the well-known names in the sector, has officially announced that it is pivoting entirely toward artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers. As part of this major transformation, the company declared it has ended all Bitcoin (BTC) mining operations in the US and will restructure its existing facilities to meet next-generation technology needs.
Impact of AI Transformation on Keel’s Financial Data
According to the company’s latest financial reports, second-quarter revenue decreased by 50 percent compared to the same period last year, falling to 30.4 million dollars. Keel closed the period with a net loss of 65 million dollars.
Financial statements show that the company has significant liquidity to manage this transition period. Having sold 1,085 Bitcoin (BTC) worth approximately 75 million dollars between April 1 and August 7, Keel still holds 1,861 BTC in its treasury. With a total liquidity of 819 million dollars, the company plans to realize its new vision in the tech world by reallocating resources from mining to high-performance computing centers.
