Critical Move from Finance Giant with 70 Million Users: Altcoin Described as Blockchain’s HTTPS Moment Listed
Blockchain privacy protocol Zama has brought privacy-focused technologies to the mainstream by listing its native cryptocurrency, ZAMA, on the Revolut platform, which has more than 70 million users.
Finance giant Revolut has launched Zama (ZAMA) trading for its users across the European Economic Area (EEA). This move is described as the “HTTPS moment,” aiming to make privacy on the blockchain a standard requirement rather than an optional feature. More than 15 million active crypto users on the platform can now easily access this new asset without any additional identity verification.
Zama uses fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) technology, which allows data to be processed even while encrypted. Thanks to this method, transactions and balances can remain completely private on public networks like Ethereum. Revolut users can buy and sell ZAMA with low transaction fees and withdraw their assets to wallets they control. This is seen as a critical threshold for the acceptance of privacy-focused assets on regulated platforms.
A New Era in Blockchain Privacy
Zama‘s success builds on significant past milestones. The company previously proved the power of its technology by conducting a large-scale presale exceeding $121 million on the Ethereum network. Additionally, collaborating with Morpho and Steakhouse Financial to create private yield vaults in the decentralized finance space has increased the project’s institutional-level impact.
Trading at levels around $0.04 as of August 11, ZAMA reached broad audiences with the Revolut listing. The standardization of privacy in the blockchain world is considered a revolutionary step toward meeting users’ expectations for financial privacy.
