Stock Perpetual Volume on Crypto Exchanges Grew 17-Fold: Reached $250 Billion in July

CryptoQuant reports that TradFi stock perpetual futures volume on crypto exchanges grew 17-fold in three months, rising from $15 billion in April 2026 to $250 billion in July, with Binance accounting for 76% of the flow and Gate surging 308% month-over-month.

In its post, CryptoQuant addressed the volume of futures contracts tied to stocks in traditional finance markets with no expiration date on crypto exchanges. These products, known as perpetual futures, trade as futures contracts without an expiration date. CryptoQuant described this market as an area where crypto exchanges function like 24-hour Wall Street terminals.

According to the metrics, total monthly volume was at the $15 billion level in April 2026, rose throughout May and June, and reached $250 billion in July 2026. Thus, the movement in the dataset showed a 17-fold increase within three months. The distribution chart by exchanges prepared by CryptoQuant revealed that growth accelerated significantly in July.

Binance Leads, Gate Stands Out in Growth

In the distribution among exchanges, Binance’s 76% share stood out by a wide margin. Gate differentiated itself in growth rate; the platform’s monthly volume increased by 308% and has grown every month since May 2026. The assets traded on Gate were also concentrated in a narrow group. SanDisk and SK Hynix accounted for 53% of the exchange’s July volume. The group shared by CryptoQuant also included Micron and SOXL.
