Binance’s Bitcoin Reserve Hits Two-Year Peak: Could Selling Pressure Be Coming?
Binance’s Bitcoin reserves have climbed to 693,000 BTC, reaching their highest level in two years and accounting for approximately 30 percent of the total reserves across major exchanges.
According to a report by Wu Blockchain based on Darkfost data, Binance’s Bitcoin reserve has increased by 77,000 BTC since the end of April. The chart identifies this level as the highest point for the 2024–2026 period.

Potential reasons for the increase in Binance reserves
Darkfost notes that the surge could be linked to several developments. Following the rallies in May and more recently, some investors may have moved their Bitcoin to exchanges for selling purposes. Additionally, the planned $1 billion investment for Binance’s SAFU fund and the purchase of approximately 15,000 BTC may have also influenced the reserve movement.
Another potential reason cited is some investors transferring their assets to exchanges for security reasons following the ColdCard incident. Darkfost states that the sharp increase in reserves could create potential selling pressure in the market.
