US Banks to Offer Crypto via Their Own Apps Through Coinbase Partnership
Coinbase and Stablecore have partnered to allow community and regional banks, as well as credit unions, in the US to offer crypto services on their existing platforms.
According to reports from Wu Blockchain, the partnership aims to enable community and regional banks, as well as credit unions, in the US to offer digital asset services without the need for a separate crypto application.
Stablecore’s infrastructure is integrated with core banking, digital banking, and compliance systems serving over 3,000 US institutions. As a result, banks will have access to an infrastructure that allows them to offer features such as digital asset custody, trading, and stablecoin payments directly through their own apps.
Crypto services to be integrated into banking apps
In the partnership, Coinbase is positioned as the provider of the regulated digital asset infrastructure. Meanwhile, Stablecore offers the infrastructure that banks can use under their own brands, connecting directly to existing banking systems.
In a post, Coinbase stated that cryptocurrency and stablecoin services would be coming to local banking apps. The announcement indicates that the partnership focuses on integrating crypto features into existing financial platforms.
