Bitget Withdrawals to Resume on September 28: What About Other Assets?

Bitget announced that it has fixed the security vulnerability and will gradually resume withdrawals starting September 28.

In an announcement reported by crypto news platform Wu Blockchain, Bitget said it had identified and fixed the vulnerability exploited in the security incident on September 24. The resumption of withdrawals will depend on the completion of additional security checks.

According to the schedule announced by Bitget, withdrawals of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Tether (USDT) will resume at 08.00 UTC on September 28, 29 and 30, respectively. Withdrawals of other tokens and fiat currencies, along with P2P services, are scheduled to resume at 08.00 UTC on October 2.

Trading and deposits continue on Bitget

Bitget said user balances were not affected by the incident and that the Protection Fund would cover its financial impact. The company said trading and deposits were continuing even though withdrawals had been temporarily suspended.

Security firms Mandiant and SlowMist are supporting the investigation.
