Two Bitcoin whales that had been inactive for three years deposited 2,571 BTC, worth a total of $206.52 million, into Coinbase Prime.
On October 27, on-chain data platform Lookonchain reported in a post that two whales that had not made a transaction for a long time were active again. The transfers reportedly took place about 10 hours before the post was published.
Bitcoin Moved to Exchange After Three Years of Silence
The total value of the Bitcoin the two whales sent to Coinbase Prime was estimated at about $207 million in the post. What made the move noteworthy was that a balance of this size was transferred to an exchange platform after three years of inactivity.
Lookonchain also shared Arkham links for the two addresses so the transfers could be tracked. Since the reported transactions were deposits to an exchange, the post did not state whether the Bitcoin had been sold.
