8 Days of Activity in BlackRock-Tagged Wallets: $3.2 Billion Moved

Lookonchain reported that wallets tagged as BlackRock-linked moved a total of 27,722 Bitcoin (BTC) and 385,633 Ethereum (ETH) over eight trading days, with the value of the movements reaching approximately $3.16 billion.

Monitoring blockchain records, Lookonchain interpreted these transfers as BlackRock’s Bitcoin and Ethereum purchases. According to the shared data, the total value of Bitcoin transactions was approximately $2.2 billion, while the value of Ethereum transactions reached $961 million.

The transfers were directed toward wallets stated to be linked to BlackRock’s IBIT Bitcoin ETF and the ETHA and ETHB Ethereum funds. The uninterrupted continuation of these transactions for eight days brought to the fore claims that high-volume institutional movement is occurring simultaneously in the two major cryptocurrencies.

Hundreds of millions of dollars in transfers to BlackRock ETF-tagged addresses

Arkham Explorer records show repeated 300 BTC transfers from hot wallets belonging to Coinbase Prime to IBIT-tagged addresses. The same list also includes the transfer of 9,444 ETH and 3,089 ETH to addresses marked as ETHA and ETHB, respectively. Some individual transactions are valued at over $23 million.

In contrast, it has not been confirmed by the company that these movements are official BlackRock purchases. Although wallet tags suggest that addresses may be linked to specific funds, they do not constitute official proof of institutional ownership. For this reason, the total on-chain transfers do not carry the same meaning as direct net ETF inflows. Nevertheless, the data shows multi-day high-volume activity on both the Bitcoin and Ethereum sides in addresses associated with BlackRock funds.
