Anonymous Whale Buys $10 Million Worth of Altcoin in a Single Transaction: Is Accumulation Continuing?

An anonymous whale has purchased approximately $159 million worth of HYPE over the past eight months.

According to data provided by Lookonchain, the anonymous address starting with 0x8e48 purchased an additional 116,427 HYPE approximately six hours ago. The value of the transaction was calculated at approximately $9.91 million.

With this latest purchase, the amount of HYPE acquired by the address via Galaxy Digital over the last eight months has reached 1.89 million tokens, with the total purchase value totaling approximately $159 million. The source noted that all of the purchased tokens have been staked.

HYPE purchases are being transferred to the staking address

On-chain movements show that the latest transaction was sent from Galaxy Digital’s OTC address to the anonymous address. About an hour later, the same amount of HYPE was transferred to the Hyperliquid system address. Lookonchain reports that this flow is linked to staking activity.

Transfer records on Arkham Explorer also show similar movements repeated approximately five days, one week, two months, and three months ago. These transactions reveal that the address is continuing its HYPE purchases as regular accumulation spread over months rather than a one-time transfer.
