At the Same Table with Palantir and Anduril: Bitcoin Becomes the US’s New Diplomatic Power

The Bitcoin Policy Institute has certified Bitcoin’s status as a diplomatic power by joining the US Department of State’s new program as a founding partner alongside giants like Palantir and Anduril.

The US Department of State has launched a new initiative called the Freedom Tech Excellence Program (FTEP) to defend digital freedoms and strengthen technological diplomacy. The most notable partner in this strategic program is the Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI), which sits at the same table as defense and data analytics giants Palantir Technologies and Anduril Industries. This partnership proves that Bitcoin (BTC) is no longer seen merely as a financial asset, but as a critical technological element in state strategies.

FTEP is designed as a talent exchange program where private sector experts are integrated into diplomatic processes. Within this scope, BPI experts will guide the US government in areas such as online freedom of expression, privacy-enhancing technologies, combating digital surveillance, and responsible AI governance. While participants continue to work at their own institutions, they will provide direct contributions to foreign policy issues where the state requires technical expertise.

Bitcoin Becomes the New Diplomatic Tool of US Foreign Policy

This development is considered the most concrete indicator that Bitcoin is being positioned as a diplomatic tool in US global strategies. President Donald Trump‘s vision to make the US the “crypto capital of the world” and the plan to establish a national Bitcoin reserve using assets seized from criminal proceeds are supported by such institutional integrations. This new era, blended with rising charts and national symbols at the highest levels of government, reinforces the role of cryptocurrencies in the struggle for sovereignty.

Founded in 2021 and led by David Zell, the BPI is a non-partisan think tank aiming to advance Bitcoin policies through education and research. Experts serving within the program will play active roles in critical areas such as combating digital fraud and protecting constitutional rights in the digital world. This move marks a historic turning point where the crypto ecosystem is deeply integrated into state mechanisms.
