Binance Restricts Transactions for 16 Platforms: Two Major Exchanges Included in August 23 List

Citing recent regulatory developments, Binance is restricting transaction processes for a total of 16 platforms in three stages, with 11 more names to be added to the list on August 23.

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that it will halt transactions associated with certain crypto asset service providers and platforms. While the exchange stated that the decision was made following recent regulatory developments, it did not share specific details regarding the nature of these developments. The decision stands out as a restriction on processing transactions linked to the relevant platforms rather than a delisting of crypto assets from Binance itself.

The restrictions are coming into effect on three different dates. As of August 7, Shelbit and Aban Tether Exchange were included, while transaction restrictions began for A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa, and PilotFinance Ltd on August 13. Thus, five platforms were affected in the first two stages. With the addition of 11 more platforms on August 23, the total number of platforms restricted by Binance will reach 16.

Binance to restrict 11 platforms on August 23

The list announced by Binance for August 23 includes Rapira, Aifory Pro, ABCeX, WhiteBird, NoOnecrypto, Tradex, Monease, BitPapa, Exnode, HTX (Huobi Global SA) and EXMO Ltd. HTX and EXMO are among the well-known exchanges familiar to crypto market users.

The list also provides company information alongside the commercial names of some platforms. Aifory Pro is shown as Sooty Ltd.; ABCeX as Nueva Cryptologia S.A.S de C.V.; and Exnode as Exnode Pay (Arvix).

Binance warned that transactions attempted in connection with these platforms after the effective dates could be subject to a compliance review. It was noted that the review process could also result in restrictions being applied to the relevant wallets.
