Binance’s Move to Access Pre-IPO Companies: Who Can Participate?
Binance Wallet has announced its Pre-Access model, which aims to provide indirect investment opportunities in companies prior to their potential IPOs. Participation quotas will be determined by users’ Alpha Points and on-chain bStocks activities.
According to the announcement reported by WuBlockchain on September 20, the new structure will be offered on PancakeSwap. Binance Wallet’s statement describes the model as a product that provides indirect access to popular companies before their potential initial public offerings (IPOs).
Therefore, Pre-Access should not be considered the same as purchasing company shares directly. The scope of the announcement involves indirect investment opportunities through tokenized instruments; it does not include a guarantee that the relevant companies will necessarily go public.
In the reported participation model, the quota allocated to users will depend on criteria such as Alpha Points, on-chain bStocks trading volume, and held assets. Thus, access will be based not only on the announcement of the new product but also on the user’s relevant activities and assets.
The model was introduced as a structure where users hold their assets in their own wallets. At the time of Binance Wallet’s announcement, the name of the first project had not yet been disclosed; the company stated that this information would be shared later. At this stage, the announcement does not imply an open sale for a specific company or a guaranteed right of participation for all users.
