Bithumb to End Trading Support for One Altcoin

Bithumb announced that it will end trading support for Sophon (SOPH) as part of its investor protection policy.

The exchange cited the failure to resolve the issues that prompted a trading warning through the explanatory documents submitted by the foundation as the reason for its decision to end trading support. It said that, based on an assessment of the project’s actual progress and the asset’s intended use and functions, the criteria for continuing trading support had not been met.

Trading will end on Monday, November 16, 2026, at 09:00 Turkey time. When trading support ends, API trading will be halted and all open buy and sell orders will be canceled. Bithumb said the schedule may change due to internal circumstances.

Withdrawal support will continue until Wednesday, December 16, 2026, at 09:00 Turkey time. Users were asked to withdraw their assets before that date. Users transferring funds to overseas crypto service providers or their personal wallets were told they must complete address registration in advance.

Users were warned that technical services such as mainnet support, hard forks, airdrops, and token swaps may be discontinued after withdrawal support ends, and that withdrawals may also be restricted.
