CoinEx Is Closing: When Will Trading and Withdrawals End for Users?

CoinEx will completely terminate its crypto exchange operations on December 22 after nearly nine years.

CoinEx announced that it will enter a phased closure process starting September 15, 2026. The exchange will stop new user registrations while gradually ending its services and closing platform access at the end of the year.

According to the announcement shared by Wu Blockchain, CoinEx cited the prolonged crypto market downturn, shrinking trading volume and liquidity, increasing regulatory requirements in major countries, and rising compliance costs as reasons for the decision. The exchange, which began operations in December 2017, will thus completely end its operations after nearly nine years.

The timeline announced by CoinEx reveals that users will lose access to different services on separate dates.

Futures trading will be moved to reduce-only mode. – September 22: Futures, staking, lending, and other non-spot services will end. – September 29: All spot trading will stop.December 22: Withdrawals and the CoinEx platform will close completely.

CoinEx stated in its announcement that the process will be conducted in an orderly manner. The exchange expressed that operational uncertainties and rising regulatory compliance costs in major jurisdictions have made it difficult to maintain operations.
