Data shared by Santiment during a week when Bitcoin’s price fell showed that wallets holding 10 to 10,000 BTC accumulated approximately 110,000 Bitcoin in a month, reaching the fastest monthly accumulation pace of 2026.
In its weekly assessment, Santiment highlighted groups of investors that continued buying Bitcoin despite weak prices. Approximately 110,000 BTC was added to the combined holdings of wallets with balances of 10–10,000 BTC in one month. This group’s accumulation pace outpaced earlier periods of the year.
Smaller investors joined large wallets
Buying was not limited to wallets with large balances. Santiment said that the smallest Bitcoin wallets also continued buying. As a result, the weekly price declines for Bitcoin and Ethereum were accompanied by continued accumulation across Bitcoin wallets of various sizes.
What stood out about the data was that it showed an increase in monthly balances across a broad group of wallets, rather than a transaction by a single whale.
Pessimism on social media eased quickly
The same assessment reported that the ratio of positive social media posts about the market to negative posts first fell to 0.96, then rose to 1.08 within a day. After negative comments briefly took the lead, positive comments moved back to the forefront.
