Massive Token Unlock from Pump.fun: These Tokens Distributed to 121 Wallets Could Shake the Market
Popular platform Pump.fun has created a significant risk of selling pressure in the market by releasing a massive amount of PUMP tokens worth $92 million that were locked for the team and investors.
In the cryptocurrency world, token unlocks are among the events that investors and market followers pay the most attention to. Today, Pump.fun, one of the key players in the meme coin ecosystem, unlocked approximately 57.28 billion PUMP tokens worth about $92.33 million and distributed these assets to their respective owners.
According to data shared by the on-chain data analysis platform Lookonchain, this massive amount was sent to a total of 121 different team and investor wallets. This critical stage of the vesting schedule brings with it the possibility of assets being liquidated in the market. Looking at the transaction details, it is seen that the transfers were carried out through Squads Vault, with individual shipments worth millions of dollars made to some wallets.
PUMP Token Distribution and Potential Selling Pressure
The shared wallet movements reveal the scale of the distribution. While 2.077 billion PUMP worth $3.03 million was transferred to some wallets, high-value transfers of $2.74 million and $1.7 million were made to others. The release of such a large supply in a single day has the potential to create selling pressure that could test market liquidity and buyer appetite.
Investors are closely monitoring whether these 121 wallets will move their assets to exchanges. Considering the high volatility in the meme coin market, especially, profit-taking by the team and investors could exert downward pressure on the price. Although some of the distributed assets currently consist of smaller amounts, the intensity of transfers in the billions could shift market dynamics at any moment.
