The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has introduced an innovative financial tool that enables investors to increase their Bitcoin holdings. Accessible via the Binance Earn platform, this new product specifically caters to long-term investors seeking passive income. Through this system, users have the opportunity to earn profits by capitalizing on market price movements without liquidating their assets.

The system is based on the covered call strategy, a method used by professionals in the traditional financial world. When investors deposit Bitcoin (BTC), they receive a unit named BTCY, representing their share in the strategy. Binance uses these assets as collateral to sell options that grant the right to buy at a specific price and shares the resulting premiums with users.

The Passive Income Era with Binance BTC Yield

A portion of the premiums earned through this strategy is distributed as Bitcoin to users’ spot accounts every Friday. The remaining premiums are retained within the strategy, gradually increasing the value of the BTCY unit. As a result, investors have double earning potential: receiving weekly payments and having their units represent more Bitcoin over time.

However, as with every financial product, this system carries certain risks and costs. Binance takes a 15% share of the collected gross premiums, and the system does not promise principal protection.
