A critical indicator measuring the operational challenges faced by Bitcoin miners has dropped into the “undervalued” zone, which historically signals major price bottoms.
While eyes in the cryptocurrency market are turned toward Bitcoin (BTC) price movements, data from the mining sector reveals a rare picture. The index known as the Miner Cycle Stress Component, which tracks the financial pressure on miners, has dropped to the lowest levels of the current cycle, crossing a critical threshold. This indicates that miners in the sector are under significant financial strain and that the market may be undergoing a capitulation process.
According to shared data, miner stress has now entered the zone historically considered “undervalued.” Upon examining the chart data, it is observed that the orange line representing miner stress has touched the green zone and dipped below the 20.0 level. Similar synchronized declines in 2015, 2018, 2020, and 2022 coincided with the formation of macro bottoms for Bitcoin’s price and the start of major bull runs.

The fact that the index is exhibiting similar behavior today provides a strong signal that sell pressure in the market has reached saturation.
The intense stress experienced by miners usually results in inefficient devices being withdrawn from the network and high-cost miners being eliminated. Once this cleansing process is complete, supply pressure in the market decreases, creating a healthier foundation for a Bitcoin price rally.
