Riot Platforms Sold Bitcoin at an Average Price of $75,785: Generated $732 Million in Revenue

Riot Platforms generated $732.46 million in revenue by selling 9,665 BTC in the first half of 2026; while the company’s average selling price was $75,785, the Bitcoin price is currently hovering around $63,000.

Cryptocurrency analysis platform Lookonchain reported that Riot Platforms “keeps selling,” stating that the company is continuing its Bitcoin sales. It was noted that the figures highlighted in the platform’s post are based on semi-annual data from Riot’s financial filing with the SEC.

According to records in the SEC filing, the company sold 9,665 BTC during the period starting January 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2026. Revenue from these sales was recorded at $732.46 million. The average selling price of $75,785 reported by Lookonchain was calculated based on the total revenue from Riot’s six-month sales and the amount of Bitcoin sold.

Riot Platforms’ Average BTC Selling Price is Above Current Levels

Bitcoin is currently trading around $63,000. Compared to this level, Riot Platforms’ average selling price is approximately $12,785 higher, with the difference being over 20%. Thus, the company’s sales in the first half of the year occurred significantly above the current market price.

Bitcoin sales by mining companies are important for converting revenue to cash and monitoring the supply that may enter the market. For this reason, Riot’s total sales in the first half of 2026 are being tracked not only for the company’s financial results but also in terms of miners’ sales timing and its potential impact on the market. This semi-annual total constitutes the underlying data for Lookonchain’s “keeps selling” statement.
