South Korean Exchange Set to List This Altcoin: Price Rises 15%!

Upbit announced that it will launch trading support for Dolphin (POD) in three markets.

The exchange plans to open the POD/KRW, POD/BTC and POD/USDT trading pairs on October 2 at 10.00 TRT. Deposits and withdrawals will be supported only on the Base network; deposit services are expected to begin within two hours of the announcement.

Buy orders will be restricted for the first approximately 5 minutes after trading support begins. During the same period, sell orders cannot be placed at prices 10% or more below the previous day’s closing price. For approximately two hours after trading begins, order types and conditions other than limit orders will be unavailable.

In a reference table based on CoinGecko data, Upbit reported the previous closing and latest prices, respectively, as of October 2 at 13.20 Korea time (07.20 TRT: 419 and 428 KRW for the KRW pair, 0,00000369 and 0,00000367 BTC for the BTC pair, and 0,3087 and 0,3147 USDT for the USDT pair.

According to CoinMarketCap data, POD rose 14.80% in the past 24 hours to $0.8211.

Upbit said POD deposits made before a reference price is established on CoinMarketCap or before trading support begins on the exchange will be subject to Travel Rule verification, even if the amount is less than 1 million won. It also announced that the start of trading could be delayed if sufficient liquidity is not available.

The announcement described Dolphin as a DePIN project that uses open AI models and unused GPU capacity to run AI inference workloads in a distributed manner. POD is used for staking and bonding within the project.
