Bithumb, one of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced the listing of a new altcoin.
According to the announcement from Bithumb, deposits and withdrawals for Squid (QUID) will begin within 3 hours of the announcement. The exchange stated that the asset can be deposited via the BASE network. Bithumb also warned investors by emphasizing that transfers outside of this network are not supported.
Squid (QUID) will be open for trading in the South Korean Won (KRW) pair. Following the listing, investors will be able to trade the QUID/KRW trading pair. Trading is scheduled to begin on August 4, 2026, at 10:00 PM.
To ensure a safe trading environment, the exchange will apply various restrictions to trading activities during the initial minutes following the listing. Accordingly, buy orders will not be allowed for the first 5 minutes after trading begins. During the same period, sell orders cannot be placed at prices more than 10% below or 100% above the opening price. Additionally, for approximately 2 hours after trading begins, only limit order types will be available.
