Standard Chartered Issues Massive Altcoin Prediction: 40x Growth Expected

Standard Chartered predicts a massive 40-fold surge for UNI, the native asset of decentralized exchange giant Uniswap, reaching the $100 level by 2030.

Deepening its analysis of the cryptocurrency market, global banking giant Standard Chartered has published a highly optimistic report for Uniswap (UNI). The bank predicts that the price of UNI will increase exponentially in the coming years as tokenized assets rapidly integrate into the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.

The bank’s digital asset research unit emphasizes that DeFi protocols offer a next-generation wealth creation opportunity. According to the report, on-chain tokenized assets are expected to reach $4 trillion by 2028. Uniswap, the sector leader in terms of liquidity pools and trading volume, is projected to capture the largest share of this growth. Bank analysts claim that the UNI price will rise to $6.50 by the end of 2026, $40 in 2028, and finally reach the $100 range in 2030.

Model Difference Between Uniswap and Coinbase

Standard Chartered likens Uniswap to YouTube, where content creators share freely, and Coinbase to Netflix, which offers a more controlled structure. Thanks to this model, Uniswap gains an operational advantage by operating with lower capital requirements through user-provided liquidity. Additionally, the platform’s recently implemented fee mechanism and scheduled token burns support upward price pressure by reducing the circulating supply.

The bank states that partnerships between Uniswap and traditional financial institutions could bring the platform’s market value closer to giants like Coinbase. However, competition from small-scale decentralized exchanges and actions by regulatory bodies stand out as critical risk factors in this process.
