Standard Chartered’s Bold Forecast for This Altcoin: Potential 25x Surge by 2030

Standard Chartered has set a $200 price target for Chainlink (LINK) by 2030, projecting that the project will become a critical infrastructure provider in the world of tokenized assets.

Global banking giant Standard Chartered has drawn significant attention with its report titled “Owner of the Rails,” focused on Chainlink (LINK), one of the major projects in the cryptocurrency market. The analysis, authored by the bank’s head of digital assets research, Geoff Kendrick, states that the price of LINK could increase approximately 25-fold from its current levels to reach $200 by 2030.

At the heart of this ambitious prediction is the process of moving traditional financial assets onto the blockchain, known as tokenization. The bank forecasts that the value of tokenized assets will reach $4 trillion by the end of 2028. Chainlink is positioned as the only end-to-end platform in this massive ecosystem that ensures secure data flow, enables cross-network communication, and provides compliance tools.

The Tokenization Revolution and LINK Price Expectations

According to the report, transaction fees earned by the Chainlink network are expected to grow 25-fold by 2030, a growth projected to reflect directly on the price of LINK. The platform, which currently secures a value of over $110 billion, dominates 70% of the oracle-dependent value in decentralized finance and 80% of those on the Ethereum network. Collaborations with major institutions such as Swift, JPMorgan, and UBS further solidify the project’s role as a bridge between traditional finance and the crypto world.

The bank also highlights that the volume processed through the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) has increased by 353% annually, reaching $4.9 billion. Following a cyberattack in April 2026, the movement of more than $7 billion in assets to this safe haven demonstrates that the platform has proven its worth. However, despite this optimistic outlook, Kendrick emphasizes that risks such as slow institutional adoption, the emergence of specialized competitors, or technical glitches should not be ignored.
