Strategy Made No Bitcoin Trades This Week: $4.8 Billion Reserve Covers 33 Months

Strategy, which holds the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin treasury, made no Bitcoin trades this week while increasing its USD reserves to $4.8 billion, creating enough liquidity to cover dividends and debt interest for approximately 33 months.

The weekly chart shared by CryptoQuant showed that for Strategy, activity on the cash side stood out more than Bitcoin transactions. The company raised $333.7 million through MSTR issuance this week while conducting no buys or sells on the Bitcoin front. Thus, the week’s main development was not a BTC transaction, but the growing dollar reserve.

According to the data, Strategy added $149.1 million to its USD reserves. The company also used $132.2 million to perform a $138.9 million STRC redemption. These transactions revealed that in its weekly financing flow, the company took steps toward both increasing reserves and scaling back on the STRC side.

Strategy’s USD reserve covers 33 months of obligations

Strategy’s USD reserve has reached a level that can cover preferred dividend payments and debt interest for approximately 33 months. The USD duration value, which shows the maturity structure of the dollars in the reserve, also increased by 41 days. This indicator pointed to changes not only in the total size of the reserve but also in its maturity composition.

The CryptoQuant chart shows that the USD reserve rose significantly, particularly during the July and August period, reaching $4.8 billion in August. Consequently, in Strategy’s performance this week, Bitcoin transactions remained at zero while financing and cash reserve movements took center stage.
