Thailand is taking a giant step toward becoming a global hub by introducing a zero-percent tax exemption on cryptocurrency gains earned through licensed exchanges between 2025 and 2029.

Under this new regulation, a five-year exemption period is envisioned, valid between 2025 and 2029. Investors will pay 0% tax on cryptocurrency gains earned during this period. However, to benefit from this advantage, transactions must be conducted through exchanges licensed in Thailand. With this condition, the government aims to both increase the volume of local exchanges and ensure auditable growth.
