BitMine increased its total holdings to 5,847,611 ETH with the 32,447 ETH it purchased last week; the company stakes approximately 87% of this reserve and expects an annual revenue of $330 million.
According to the BitMine statement reported by Wu Blockchain, the company with the world’s largest corporate Ethereum treasury purchased 32,447 ETH over the past week. This acquisition increased the company’s total reserves by the same amount, bringing it to the 5,847,611 ETH level. This reserve under BitMine’s control accounts for approximately 4.8% of Ethereum’s total supply.
Staking plays a significant role in the company’s reserve management. BitMine has staked 5,067,309 ETH. This amount represents approximately 87% of its total ETH holdings. Staking is a process where crypto assets are locked on the network to generate returns.
BitMine’s ETH staking revenue could reach $330 million
The estimated annualized revenue BitMine expects to generate from its staking activities was announced as approximately $330 million. Annualized revenue refers to the projected amount if current performance continues for a full year. Therefore, this figure was shared as a projection for the company’s current staking position rather than a realized gain.
As of August 23, the company holds $308 million in cash and securities. Securities include financial investment instruments such as stocks and bonds. The total value of crypto assets, cash, securities, and other investments was reported at $14.9 billion as of the same date.
