Whales Move XRP to Binance: Is a 7-Month High a Sell Signal?

Transfers of XRP from whales to Binance have reached a seven-month high, with the 30-day total nearing 1.67 billion XRP, and traders are watching to see whether the activity will turn into selling pressure.

According to CryptoQuant data, XRP whale inflows to Binance declined after reaching about 1.65 billion XRP in September. Inflows have picked up again in recent days, pushing the 30-day total above that level.

The chart shows transfers, which had weakened over the summer, rising again. The 30-day total fell to around 500 million XRP in early August, but approached 1.67 billion XRP in the latest reading. CryptoQuant describes this as the highest level in the past seven months.

Why do whale transfers to Binance matter?

Assets sent to centralized exchanges by large investors increase the amount available for trading. If whales choose to sell some of this XRP, selling pressure in the market could intensify.

However, transferring assets to an exchange is not the same as completing a sale. Wallet-to-wallet asset distribution or the use of different Binance trading services can also increase inflows. Therefore, the rising indicator alone does not mean XRP’s price will fall.

What data will be monitored for selling pressure?

The analysis emphasizes that net flows, trading volume, and price movements should be tracked together with inflows. Net flows show the difference between the XRP entering and leaving an exchange, making it possible to see how much high inflows are offset by outflows.

These data will help assess whether whales’ increased transfers are turning into selling pressure or whether activity on the exchange is simply increasing.
