Whales’ New Route Revealed: Massive Transactions in 2 Altcoins Surge Beyond 800%
As whale activity in the cryptocurrency market increases, projects like Decentraland (MANA) and Pendle (PENDLE) have drawn attention by recording massive weekly increases in the number of transactions exceeding $100,000.
In the crypto world, the steps taken by large investors, or “whales,” often provide significant clues about the market’s direction. Recent data shared by Santiment revealed the projects that experienced the highest growth in large-scale transactions of $100,000 and above over the past week. The prominence of metaverse, DeFi, and AI-focused projects on the list indicates which sectors institutional interest is shifting toward.
According to the analyzed data, among projects with a market capitalization of at least $100 million, Decentraland (MANA) made the largest leap in whale transactions with an 833.33% increase. It was followed by Pendle (PENDLE) at 800% and USAT (USAT) at 400%. These surges indicate that large investors are strengthening their positions in specific altcoin projects.
Decentraland and Pendle Lead Whale Transactions
With a market cap of approximately $144.58 million, MANA maintains its strength in the gaming and virtual reality space, while its price rose by 6.38% on a daily basis. Pendle, ranked second on the list, captured remarkable volume through its transactions on the Arbitrum network. Additionally, projects on the Optimism network such as Dai (DAI) and Telcoin (TEL) also secured high rankings on the list, receiving their share of whale interest.
Further down the list, the AI-focused Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) saw a 300% increase in whale transactions, while the interoperability protocol LayerZero (ZRO) experienced a 200% rise. This data proves that investors are active not only on mainnets but also on Layer-2 solutions like Arbitrum and Optimism. Specifically, the activity in DeFi-focused projects like ether.fi (ETHFI) and Sky Dollar (USDS) supports the overall revival across the ecosystem.
