World Money Launches in Over 150 Countries: Stablecoins and Yield in One App
World is launching World Money, which combines stablecoin payments, transfers, trading, and yield features into a single app across more than 150 countries.
World, the identity-focused crypto project formerly known as Worldcoin, is launching its new financial application, World Money, in over 150 countries. The self-custodial app brings together stablecoin payments, digital asset transfers, trading, yield products, and virtual accounts under one roof.
World Money allows users to hold balances in eight different currencies and send digital assets internationally. The scope of features and supported assets within the app varies depending on the user’s country.
World Money Can Be Funded via Stripe and Apple Pay
A new Stripe-supported funding flow is also being introduced for users in the U.S. With this feature, funds in Apple Pay can typically be converted into a stablecoin balance within minutes.
World Money is also integrating with Stripe, Kalshi, and Morpho.
World ID verification is also being linked to the app’s rewards mechanism. Verified users can access boosted rewards in eligible Earn programs.
World stated that the proof-of-personhood system behind the app will add trust to financial transactions. The project argues that World Money is built on a network of real humans, making it harder to create fake accounts.
World operates under the umbrella of Tools for Humanity. The company’s founders include Alex Blania and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. In line with its “super app” goal, the project added features for sending and receiving cryptocurrency via chats in March 2025. That same year, Circle launched native USDC support for wallets on World, replacing the previously used bridged USDC.
