Critical Decision for This Altcoin from South Korean Giant Exchange: Price Plummets!
Bithumb, one of South Korea’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, announced that it has added a popular altcoin project to its “investment warning” list.
According to the statement made by Bithumb on August 11, 2026, Ravencoin (RVN) transactions have been restricted, and the asset has been included in the “investment warning” category. In the notice issued by the exchange, unidentified or unresolved security breaches (hacking) detected in the project’s blockchain network or wallet systems were cited as the reason for the decision.
Following the announcement, deposits and withdrawals for Ravencoin (RVN) have been suspended. While Bithumb emphasized that this decision was taken to ensure investor safety, it signaled that the asset could be fully delisted if the issues on the network are not resolved.
The exchange stated that the investigation into RVN will continue, and the final decision regarding the project’s future (extension of the warning, removal, or delisting) will be announced in the second week of September, specifically between September 7-11, 2026.
According to CoinGecko data, RVN has lost 16.39% of its value in the last 24 hours following the security concerns and the exchange’s restriction decision, dropping to the $0.002975 level.
